Hi *,
I'm looking for a transparent screensaver to be used on a supervision
workstation (w2k). The idea is to lock the keyboard and the mouse but
keep the display alive with running applications. Optionaly,
smartcard-based authentication could allow an administrator to quickly
log back in his/her active Windows session.
Is there such a tool as freeware? (I know a few non-freeware tools)
Thanks.

i think there is one called activesaver ?

I don't think it will do what Fred wants by itself. activesaver can be
configured to run a desktop lock as a screensaver; the problem then
remains finding a transparent lock.
Recent builds of activesaver are buyware.
