Looking for a program

Is there a program that you can run that can show all the serial numbers for
different programs that are on your computer, it would be handy if they can
be kept in one file for future reference if needed.

In all due respect - and I mean that, if you ask a question like that, then
you shouldn't be going there in the first place until you have some more
knowledge of what you're doing. The MS site and others are loaded with info
on what to do and not do when it comes to the registry. There is no short
answer other than telling you to use a program like Belarc Advisor to get
the information you're looking for. I'm assuming you want to be able to
alter this info for whatever reason.

Can that info be found in the registry as well, if it can where can it be
found.

Yes you can find them in the registry: regedit > Edit > Find
After the first one press F3 about 500 times.
DON'T change any of them.
