Free surfer, popthis!, killad are all pretty good and all have a mix of
features beyond just popup killing. Some relate to privacy functions,
others prevent certain scripts from resizing or moving your windows.

I don't really like popup manager, because it doesn't really stop the
popups from opening in the first place, but rather closes them quickly.
This results in the screen flickering, which can be irriating, if you are
on a page with a lot of popups.

Finally you can switch to browsers with built in popup blocking functions
like Mozilla.

I used to use popup stopper until I found popthis!
IMHO its much better than ps.
For example, it doesn't block links you click on or notify you when it
has blocked a popup. I found it to be much more intuitive than

Sure, install the google toolbar - has a blocker option that works great.
