Guys hi !

I have got this simple web camera as a present and i don't have any
idea where to get a driver for it.
Since it is unbranded and windows xp detects it as a usb web camera ,
I have a few photos which might help you understand what driver might
suit me.

Please help find the driver for it.
Here are 3 pictures :

Since you state that XP detects, does this mean the cam is showing up
installed in Device Manager? If yes, you have a driver already
installed.

It appears as an unknown device in "device manager" under "other
devices"
it can be seen as usb2.0 webcam with an exclamation mark.

Windows does detect it and it seems to be looking for a driver but i
don't have any.
Please help.

This is as close as I could find to a match visually. The product
is unbranded, and model number here is listed as "240c". Other
sellers could easily make up their own model number, so you cannot
rely on that.

You can get a copy of a USB listing program here. It is possible,
by looking at the enumeration info, you can trace down more info
on the camera via the VID and PID. But the odds are poor of finding
an actual driver. The best way to get a driver for these kinds of
products, is to only accept a product that comes with a CD.

If the camera adheres to the appropriate USB class spec, it is possible
for Windows to use the default Microsoft driver.
