I can tell you that Microsoft Antispyware seems to run fine on it, although
it took me perhaps 5 tries over a couple of days before the definitions
would update over the original downloaded ones. No error message--just no
update, when it was obvious that the original ones, although dated on the
installation date, were 5687.

Is there a url where we can download the beta of longhorn and not be a msdn
member.

Philip;
Longhorn is not available through MSDN.
There were changes made and it may not return to MSDN.
There are no legitimate public download sources that I know of.

What Jupiter Jones said, I'm afraid. I'm not sure when there will next be a
public beta. The build I am running is the one distributed at WinHEC.
