Hello All

I am using A2k and A97.

I need to create 2 or 3 longish documents (20-30 pages) that will use data
from my mdb, but there seems to be a limit to the amount of space I can use
in a report's detail (and other) sections. I know I could split the document
into sub-documents, but then the page numbering and (some other fields that
must be consistent throughout the document) becomes more awkward to
maintain. Another option is to use a Word document mail-merged to the mdb,
but that is slow to load and the filtering etc is not so good.

There must be a best to do this, and I would be very grateful if someone
could tell me what it is!

Les.

It is not quite clear why a word merge will not work?

If the data from ms-access is just some regular text fields that you need to
place throughout the word document..then a word merge is ideal.

I have a nice working sample word merge that you can use.

If the amount of text you need to merge is "large"..(ie: large chunks of
text from a database), then I suggest you still use word..but don't use my
above example...but consider using bookmarks in the word document.

I mean, when you start talking about documents..then you need to use
word.....
