long delay when resolving telephone # for first time

hello,
first off let me give you my specs:
OS - Windows XP Pro
Email client - Outlook 2003

scenario:
When modifying a contact's telephone # after having logged into the O
for the first time of the day, there is an inordinate amount of tim
delay (up to sixty seconds) that occurs when Outlook trys t
resolve/autoformat (not sure what the correct terminology is) th
number. Anytime there after there is no delay.

My question is if there is a registry setting that i can change t
lower the delay so that it is not as noticeable.
