long delay in using 'send to'

Hi

When I right click on a file in windows exporer and then click on 'Send to'
I normally have to wait up to one minute for the sub menu to open with the
choices.

Is there any way to find out what the problem with this is?

1.Click Start > Run > Copy/Paste following > CLick OK
%userprofile%\SendTo
2. Move the items one by one out of the folder and then refresh folder and test
SendTo. If the delay is still there then continue moving items/files, if the delay is
gone then you know that last item was the cause and just delete it...
 
Look in your SendTo folder under C:\Document and Settings\[USERNAME]\SendTo
and see if you have anything that is going to a network drive or an external
drive.
 
To open your SendTo folder...
Start | Run | Type: sendto | Click OK
