In our terminal server, there is a long delay when cilents log off of the
terminal server. Has anyone else seen this behavior? The machine is
relatively high-end, is used moderately at best, and the performance during
the sessions are great. Any ideas? Thanks in advance, everyone!

I had this problem about a year ago. Do you use Roaming
profiles? If so, they are probable getting locked most
likely caused by a driver conflict. We never really
resolved it. I edited the local policy to automatically
disconnect the session after 5 seconds. The only thing
is that the roaming profiles are not saved in this case.

Also try KB827825. The hotfix fixed it for us.

If your EventLog shows Events about problems loading and/or
unloading the user profile (EventID 1000, Source Userenv), then I
would install the UPHClean utility (User Profile Hive Clean) and
see if that fixes the problem.
