Since I installed the Service Pack 1. Each time I start
my PC< after the Win XP logo, the screen goes blank and
it takes up to 30sec -1 min before the PC continue
booting. it only happen when there is something connect
to any USB port of my PC (all are USB 2.0) If I
disconnect all device, it boots correctly without any
delay. Also, if I don't disconnect them, they wont work
in XP until I unplug and plug them back in. when I go in
the Devices management, all USB items are with a ! mark
and in the properties it says "Driver could not
initialize because it was unable to unload at last shut
down" (or something like that) HELP!

Hi,

Have you never use the safely remove icons to remove the
USB devices before shutdown the PC?
Try use it and post back.

For both of the mouse and my game controller, the safely
removed hardware icon never show. it only show when it's
my cable modem connencted (with isn't anymore -> on LAN
card) I never had this trouble without the Servce Pack 1.

btw, my mobo is a A7V8X (via KTA400 chipset) maybe i
should update the drivers?
