Long conversion times

Hello,

I am new to the use of Windows Movie Maker. I capture a move from my DV camara or my video out card and it takes 210-260 mins to convert or "make movie", is this normal? Is there anyway to cut down on these times? I usually attempt to capture on a "high quality" setting.

Rendering a movie is a CPU intensive process and takes a long time.
Depending on your computer's capabilities and your project size, it could be
normal.
