I'm guessing lookng up Shaftesbury Avenue from Piccadilly end, but really not sure.

When cigarette advertising was perfectly acceptable.
 
nice find. how did they get it in high res, and in colour? was it digitally re-done or something?

I also think it is from Picadilly Circus because look at the bend in the road!!!
