the professional security community. The site also explores computer
security in general and why, despite billions of dollars and many years of
effort, it continues to fail with alarming regularity. Be forewarned that
many of the ideas presented within run contrary to the current dogma
routinely promoted by the professional security community. The reason for
this is simple. Their ideas have not worked. We now exist in a precarious
state in which our political and economic infrastructures can be manipulated
with relative ease by almost anyone who has a computer, some programming
skill, and a little creativity. I believe it is time to revisit the past in
order to protect the future.
