Logs in Mcafee v10?

I reveived a weird message from Mcafee during a single send/receive in
outlook. Hundreds of sucessful sends before and a dozen after. The
message said something about protocol. Where can I find exactly what
the message was?

I DID try that, but good support technicians are dying race. Tehy told
me that there are no logs. Which befuddles me beyond beleive. I trust
other users more than I do first level Mcafee support.

That well be very true. The Enterprise products do log events. If you went to a v10
forum on the McAfee forums and were told there are no logs then ... well there 'ya go.

It was an online chat with "Ace Daniels" of Mcafee. I find it very
disheartening that I have to do a screenshot or write down on a piece of
paper what a Mcafee Pop-up says because there is no where for me to look
to see what the exact message was for me to google, when exactly it
happened, what other processes were running, etc...

That's just one more reason why the Enterprise/corp. versions are so much better than the
retail versions.

BTW, David, you might be interested in taking a look at download.exe
from here:

I've been playing with it, and I don't care for it for use with
Kaspersky defs since it takes a long time for it to go through
and decide that only one or two files require updating. But for
single large update files such as with McAfee it might be ok.

It has a nice flexible set of command line switches, and I suspect
it might have advantages over wget in some situations.
