Question:
Can a computer without TCP/IP connect to a domain
controller? Are there any other network communication
protocol aside from TCP/IP that will enable such computer
to connect to the domain controller?
Background:
I have a computer that runs an application that hates
TCP/IP protocol. This computer runs on W2K professional
and because of the application I was forced to remove my
TCP/IP protocol in my network configuration. But I want
to connect to the domain controller server, like accessing
specific shared drives and others for some other reasons.
Error:
When I use the command NET USE I get an error: "There are
currently no logon server available to service the logon
request"
Twist:
Everything is fine when I use the domain computer to
access to that computer and it is ALSO fine for other
computers which has a TCP/IP installed to access the
computer.
PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!
