We have a WinXP Pro computer on a network here at my
work. This computer has a shared hard drive and printer
that are accessed by other computers. However, when a
Win98 computer tries to access either the drive or the
printer it says that "no logon server could be found." If
I log the computer off and back on again, then it works.
How do I stop this from happening? Thanks!

Wes

I suspect that you need to install the Active Directory
patch from the Windows 2000 Server CD. This will allow
Windows 9x clients to access the Active Directory.

If you don't have Active directory installed, maybe the
Windows 98 machine needs the installation of additional
protocols.

Hope this helps!
