Ok, I know this is one of the basic Admin functions, but
I've never have had to use one until now. Can someone
please tell me how to make a logon script work? I create
a small *.bat file with the simple net use command to map
a drive. I can run the file by itself and the drive maps,
but when I try to use it as a logon script it doesn't map
when I have that user logon. I have placed the file in
the C:\WINNT\SYSVOL\sysvol\<domain>.com\scripts directory
and place this path in the logon script text box under the
profile tab of the users account.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

No path, please! If you add a value in this box the system is quite
sure that this directory is the very place to look for this file. If
you add a path the given path will be added to the path ... hell ... I
think you know what I'm trying to say.

slightly off-topic, but do you know of any website/resource that i can look
to to learn more about logon scripts. you know, like what other calls i can
make, what other functionality it has.

cheers,
