We have just upgraded from win nt to windows 2000 advanced
server, everything seem s to have worked fine except that
all the logon scripts don't seem to work. Is there
something that needs to be done for the scripts to run
automatically?

Thx in advance

Nt and W2k handle group policies differntly. With NT all
you need to do is put them is the same folder as the
NTCONFIG.POL file that is used to configure NT group
policies.

W2k has the netlogon share. All group policies are written
to this share on a per policy bias. You will need to
configure you default domain policy to utilize the startup
scripts.

Open you default domain policy and browse to this path:

Computer Configuration\Windows Settings\Scripts\Startup
open the startup file on the right side of the screen and
add your scripts via this GUI. From there make sure that
the default domain policy is applied to all "Authenticated
Users". Then your startup scripts will be applied.
