When I assign a logon to a GPO it does not execute but when the same script
is assigned to each user it does execute. What am I doing wrong?

If the above does not help enable Userenv logging on the client, log in
verify you did not get the policies, do whatever you have to do to make the
policies apply. Repost with that Userenv.log and the name of the user
account you are testing with. Also be more specific as far as what
configured policies are not applying and see if the clients are reporting
any Userenv errors in the application event log.

I've solved the similar problem yesterday. I've forgot to assign the DNS IP
to point to a domain controller on workstations.

Thanks Roman,

My workststions do point to my domain controller which is also my DNS
server. Is this what you are talking about or am I missing somethig?

I have seen once before if the scripts.ini file for a policy is missing, it
can cause startup/logon script not to run. Are you getting any events in
the Application event log? If so what are they? A userenv.log file can be
helpful in troubleshooting this as well.

You might consider editing the local computer policy through gpedit.msc and
give it a startup/logon script. in case there is a problem with the local
policy.
