Logon Problems

I had been using my laptop (Windows 2000 Professional). The next morning, I
attempted to logon and the computer didn't recognize my password ! my user
name was properly filled in, but I kept getting the default message saying my
user name and password could not be recognized, check the caps key, etc.

When clicking on 'Options', the domain box no longer drops down. I'm dead
in the water and cannot logon to my computer. I would appreciate any advice,
including where I might find assistance on the Microsoft website, which is a
bit difficult to maneuver through.

You'll stand a better chance of getting an answer if you ask in a newsgroup
related to Windows 2000.
