I have just upgrade 1 of my server to windows 2000 from windows nt4, the
other server is already running on windows 2003 and is using as a file
server. The problem is now that those PC running on win98 are unable to
access the file at the windows 2003 server and beside that it seem that some
of my winXP is also unable to access the win2003 file as well. Any help is
appreaciate.

You mean that users can not access folders located on the WIN2003 File
Server, right. What happens if 'jblow' attempts to log on from a WIN98
system? No dice, right? But what if from a WINXP Pro system?

I assume that this is not an NTFS/Share permissions problem.

So, more information: the server that you just upgraded from WINNT 4.0 to
WIN2000......what machine was this? Was it a Domain Controller, a member
server, what? What AD are you running - WIN2000 or WIN2003?

Do all of the clients point to the internal DNS Server? Are you running
WINS? If so, is that in order?

Have you looked at the SMB Signing problem that is common for WIN98 systems
in a WIN2003 AD environment?

The upgrade server is a domain controller and now it is running win 2000 AD.
Some of the winXP also do have the problem, any help is appreaciate.
