One of our office computers has a login password. The
employee who put the password on is no longer with the
company and we have no way of retrieving the password. Is
there anyway to bypass the login or retrieve the password?
The operating system is Windows 2000 professional.

Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Doesn't anybody know the administrator password (of that machine or the
domain, if it belongs to one)?

you need a username and a password for someone with
administrative privileges to reset the password. Or you
need to contact the ex-employee for the password. Other
than that you'll have to re-install.

If you can't log on as the Administrator, you can use the boot disk
from the following link to reset the password on the Administrator
account.
