I would like to enter my password into the registry so that when I start my
computer it boots completely. Can anyone tell me where the registry key is?

Hi,

You don't enter it into the registry. This should help:

Start/run "control userpasswords2" (without the quotes).

Uncheck the box requiring a username and password, click apply/ok and follow
the prompts to set up a default logon.

Slight change.

In the control userpasswords2 window, select the user you want to make the
autologin for and then uncheck the option "user must enter a password to..."

Rick's method works as well, you just have to enter the user name, manually.
It defaults to the name that was selected in the previous dialog.

I knew that that an user can alywys change the name by typing. However,
Microsoft's aim is to reduce typing and increase mouse controls. Hope So.

Some people are keyboard oriented, others mouse oriented. Some are a bit of
both. As long as the directions lead to the desired results, that's what counts.
Also, thanks for posting this variation. It's one that I had not noticed.
