Hi,

I've setup both logon and logoff scripts on a W2K+SP4 box. It's a
standalone machine without a connection to a domain.

The scripts are running fine as long as the user is an administrator.
Because I start and stop services in the scripts, the scripts need to
be executed under an account with at least admin rights.

How can I enforce the scripts to run under such an account and not the
current user account?

Thanks and a happy new year ...

Robert

Hello. there is no oprtion for that in Group Policy.

May there is a way in a visual basic script to code it to run as another
user.

I will point you to: microsoft.public.windows.server.scripting

What happens if you assign the logoff script in the Computer Configuration
section of Group Policy?
