Logon for Workgroup Machine

System was changed from standard domain (WAN) under
the "Network Identification" tab and Properties to a
Workgroup machine and then restarted. Since the logon
prompt does not allow for domain selection anymore, is the
system expecting a local admin account? Known user ID was
a local admin when part of the domain. Nothing works.
Can it be put back into "Domain" mode without logging on?
