Recently, my notebook crashed for an unknown reason. When I rebooted it, the
logon screen came up, as it normally does, but all of a sudden has a password
box for every user. There were never passwords set for any of the 4 users on
the computer, and now, the password box was prompted. I tried logging on
with a blank password (since I had no idea what the password could have
been), but it said, "The local policy of this system does not allow you to
logon interactively."
I tried to reboot under safe mode and enter the administrator's account to
clear the passwords that magically appeared (if there were any), but when
trying to enter the Administrator account with a blank password (I didn't set
a password up; Microsoft XP was pre-installed when I bought the notebook), I
got the same message: The local policy of this system does not allow you to
logon interactively.
Is there anyway to overcome this problem? I have no way of even getting
past the logon screen. =\
If you could help in anyway, please send me an email at
(e-mail address removed). Thank you very much.
