I have a couple of computers that are denying me access to the c$ admin share
with the following message:

Logon failure: the user has not been granted the requested logon type at
this computer.

I am typing in the following to the run command:

\\computername\c$

Usually it gives me the contents of the C drive but on these several pcs I
get the above error message. I also tried to upgrade on PC to SP2 with no
success of ending the message. Help Please!

you need the admin name and password of the remote pc's--try typing the
following:

net use x: \\computername\c$ [space]/user:username[space] "password"

I have tried that but actually you don't need the username and password in a
domain environment nor do you need to map the drive to connect.
