Hi..

I find for some reason every access application I have on
my machine is opening a dialog box titled Logon. It's
asking for a Name and Password.

I have no idea what has caused this as just a week ago
there was no problem.

Since I'm don't know the name to use or the password I can
not open any of my databases.

Anyone know how to get rid of this. There is no reason to
protect any of these databases as they are only on my
machine and used for test and development.

I'm very confused and need assistance as I'm locked out of
everything.

Appreciate any assistance

You are joined by default to a workgroup file that has a password set for
the default Admin user; that's what triggers the login dialog to appear.

Do a search of your computer, and locate all *.mdw files, and note their
paths.

Use the workgroup administrator (Tools, Security in 2002+; Start, Run,
wrkgadm.exe in 2000-). It will show you the mdw you are currently joined
to. You want to rejoin the standard mdw that ships with Access. It's
usually in the windows system folder, but not always.

Try joining one of the other mdws you found. Hopefully, one of them works
for you.
