I was used to Win XP (in this case Win XP Pro SP2 Dutch) showing the destop
ASAP after entering my password, with the system still being very busy
loading startup app's, drivers for USB devices etc.. The "loading your
personal settings" was shown only 1 or 2 seconds.
After upgrading MSAS from .509 to .613 this changed. It seemed the "loading
your personal settings" was held on screen until everything was loaded. This
change in behaviour only occurred for my limited-rights user account. I
must say I kinda liked it that way. An administrator-rights account logged
in the old way. Rebooted and logged on about 10 times in 2 days, it was 100%
reproduceable.
Upgrading to .614 brought back the old familiar behaviour of showing the
desktop ASAP. Weird but not very important, still I thought I should mention
it here.
BTW I had no problem installing .614 over .613 . It showed the .614 after
reboot.
