I am have a problem using the "Start the following program on connection"
with the remote desktop. I am moving from windows server 2k to 2k3. I had no
problem in 2k. The problem is when I logoff using the "Starting program"
same results using AD, client side, or tscc. It hangs on the logoff. The
only processor that is running when I end the program and it tries to logoff
is ntvdm.exe. If I end the processes for ntvdm.exe it will finish the
logoff. If I don't use the "starting program" setting I can run the program
with not problems and logoff with no problems. I also don't have any
problems using the program when using the "starting program", just logging
off. I have the problem with the administrator account also. This is the
only program that I need my users to use and the users have a hard time
turning the computer on and off without calling the help desk. So having two
desktop is way to much for then at this time. I don't have DC installed and
I have no problems using Notepad in the "Starting Program". Used notepad for
testing. Any insite on this would be great. Have a great new year.
