Logo at Boot

With Win98 it was possible to edit the MSDOS.SYS file so
that the Logo=0 switch let the background DOS startup
programs visible. I am helping someone set up their new
system and have had very limited time on it. Is this
still possible on XP?

For example: They use AVG for virus protection. It would
be nice to be able to see the startup scan instead of
watching the Windows XP Logo at startup.

It does not work like 9x when the logo is gone so you will not see the scan
running.

to remove it open the boot.ini file and add "/noguiboot" right after
"/fastdetect" without the quotes of course.
