Are BOTH cordless? Have you replaced your batteries? The Logitech software
(Mouseware) should've popped up a warning about low batteries. When mine
get low, it also shows the mouse icon in the system tray (I turn it off, but
when the warning appears then Logitech decided to redisplay this tray icon,
so I replace the batteries and have to turn off the icon display again).
Regardles of Logitech's claims, batteries do not last as long as they claim
(2 to 4 months). I have had 5 of their cordless optical mice and tracked
over several battery changes how long it has taken until I get the low
battery warning. With alkalines I would get an average lifespan of 17 to 23
days. With rechargeables, I would get an average lifespam of 14 to 18 days.
The more often I played games which kept the mouse continually moving and it
couldn't sleep the short the lifespan before I had to replace or recharge
the batteries.
Or are you talking about your cordless mouse and keyboard going to sleep? I
didn't think the cordless keyboard went to sleep as it might reduce power
consumption but should be able to buffer the keystrokes. However, the mouse
pointer won't move right away. If the mouse hasn't move in about a minute,
the power consumption is reduce to prolong battery life.
