Logitech MX700 Mouse Problem

When I right click on a group of files in order to bring up a box to choose
"delete", my system freezes for a minute. The "egg timer" finally disappears
and I have to right click again before I'm allowed to delete the files. I
downloaded and installed Logitech's latest drivers, but that didn't solve
the problem. Where else should I look to correct this? Thanks for any help
in advance.
 
Thanks for the reply Rich. I am running Ad-Aware 6 Pro and Norton's Anti
Virus and Internet Security, so I'm pretty well covered there.
