Logitech Desktop MX900 mouse problems

I hope somebody can help me.

2 weeks ago I bought me the new MX900 from Logitech (Cordless Bluetooth
mouse and keyboard)

The installation went well, and everything connected the way it was supposed
to. But for some reason the mouse is not moving smoothly anymore. It
staggers across the screen, and it is not possible to play any games
anymore.

Please, can somebody help me with this, or am I the only one in the world
with this problem? :)

Stupid question: Have you tried new batteries in the mouse?

The truth is out there. You just have to look in the right places and ask
the right questions.

The batteries are rechargeble and are brand new. So I don't think thats the
problem.

So you haven't tried the batteries?? I suggest you try different batteries.

Is it an optical mouse? Try a different surface to put under your mouse.

OK. I will buy some batteries tomorrow and give it a try.
It is an optical mouse, but it worked fine a couple a days ago on the same
mousepad so that shouldn't be a problem.

Does MX900 even have batteries? The MX700 used to have recharging mount to
load the battery. Have you left the mouse in that mount when you didn't use
it?

There are batteries in both MX700 and MX900 (it's basically the same mouse,
just the bluetooth is the difference) I will test some new batteries today.
I have recharged in the mount, but it still doesn't work as it's supposed
to.

Hi Geir

Same mouse, same problem. I have a MX700 that works flawless and got
the diNovo combo in good faith... But.... The MX900 is anything but
smooth... It looks like its not working properly. Like the surface is
wrong or the communication is almost out of reach, even though I’m
sitting 10" from the receiver... I tried to change surfaces,
batteries, driver versions, anything I could think of, I even
reinstalled my system (win XP pro) nothing works... I’m really
disappointed. The only reason I can think of is that it’s an early
shipment of the MX900 that needs to be changed. Or atleast fixed.

If somebody has the same problem please tell us the solution.

I have a Toshiba Satellite Pro M10 laptop and the particular version
incorporates Bluetooth and Wireless LAN (802.11) and is running
Windows XP Pro. I wanted a wireless optical mouse but didn't want the
bother of a seperate receiver in the USB port and wondered if
Logitech's MX900 would work without using its own Bluetooth hub.

The answer is yes it does and it works perfectly, being very smooth,
with no jitter whatsoever. Windows automatically 'found' the mouse and
configured it seemlessly, requiring no user intervention.

I did not use the Logitech drivers, so some of the additional buttons
have no functionality, though left and right buttons and the scroll
wheel perform flawlessly. Definitely a good purchase, I just wish the
mouse had an on/off switch to save the batteries.
