I have workstations running W2K and a W2K server. The
previous administrator has done something to the
workstations where the C:\ is not available, the control
panel is limited, cannot get to command prompt just to
name a few.
I have looged into the workstation with admin privlidges
and tried to look at the permissions for the user and
changed to power user and then administrator, still no
luck.
Is there something else I can do like log on with some
other privlidges? Or is there a script that might be
running on start up?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thx

Johnny,

It sounds like there might be some GPOs in affect. I would go to the OUs
and look to see if there are GPOs configured and linked....

Hi there,

This sounds like what could be done with the Policy Editor on W98,
haven't used it since but a quick look on Google resulted in:

http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=318755

This doesn't quite talk about your problem but at least it seems that
poledit still exists.

Anyway, the settings have to be in the registry somewhere, you now just
have to figure out how to modify that without the proper rights :-(

Kind regards,

Cinq
