I am serving overseas in Iraq, and just ran into a problem
logging into my laptop. I had just finished loadind
software for a Sony Digital Camera from the CD-ROM, when I
was instructed to restart the computer to save the new
program. When the computer came back on I only received
the Windows XP Blue Banner, but not the box asking for my
password to logon. I have tried turning the computer on
and off, letting it set for hours, and pressing
Alt+Ctl+Dlt to reset, all to no avail. I can't even get
the START Icon to appear in the lower left corner of the
screen. The mouse seems to work ok, as do buttons to
capitalize, and other keystrokes, but only this windows xp
banner shows on screen (minus the login space for my
password, and photo icon with my name).
I really need use of my computer ASAP; anyone who can
provide some insight into this problem is welcomed to
email me with these insights. It will be greatly
appreciated. Thank you!
