Logarithmic type charts

Thanks for the link. Interesting site, but it doesn't quite answer my question. I'm looking for a way to configure both the x and y axes to a logarithmic scale. It seems that Excel only allows the y-axis to be configured to a log scale. I'm hoping that there's a trick

Create a XY Scatter chart. Then, double-click each axis in turn, and in
the resulting dialog box, from the Scale tab, check the 'log scale'
checkbox.

try using the X/Y Scatter diagram type. Format both axis (double click
on the axis to open the dialog) with a log scale

Thanks for your response. I tried that before, but the dialog box for the x-axis does not have an option for a log-scale. My version of Excel is 2002 SP-1. Maybe it's too old

Got it! User error! My problem was that I wasn't selecting the xy scatter type. Thanks for your help
