hello,
i realy feel ashame asking that question ,but its being a
long time since i been around.
i need to force my compu (win2k) to log to my domain.
alredy install client for microsft network and file and
print sharing service .
when i try to configure on the client the name of the
domain,i only get the "windows locator " window .
what do i miss ?
will apprichiate any help.

Is the machine joined to the domain, or are you having problems trying to
get it joined?

To join it to the domain: click Start -> Settings -> Network and Dial-Up
Connections
In this window, select the "Advanced" menu / "Network Identification" item
Now click the "Properties" button on the "System Properties" window.
Check the "Domain:" button under the "Member of" section, enter the domain
name and press OK

If this is where you run into the problem, make sure you aren't having name
resolution problems.
Try both the netbios and fully qualified domain names.
Make sure you can ping the domain or use nslookup to resolve the domain name
from this box.

Mike
