How do you turn off the request for a pass word when
logging on? It's a major hassell when I am the only one
who uses my computer
Thanks

i'll assume you're using windows xp.
go to start>control panel>user accounts
click on your account and select "change/remove password".
hope this helps.

Two ways. Either download Tweak UI. In it you can setup so that the computer
always starts with a specific account and password (so that you do not have
to write it in)
The other way is to change the way you log on. Go to the Control Panel/User
Accounts, select "Change the way users log on or off", and then enable the
checkbox "Use the Welcome Screen"
Notice that in some cases, installed components and programs may prevent the
Welcome Sceen option from being enabled. If so, either uninstall that
program/component, or use the TweakUI method.

Yeah, I tried Tweak UI and messed up my administrator's
login ability. On bootup, the welcome screen came on, but
there were no user accounts to choose - couldn't get past
the screen. Eventually got in through Safe Mode and
created a guest account. Now only the guest account shows
up on the login screen and it doesn't have permissions to
do anything. How do I reactivate the admin user?
