Maybe you mean the check box in Control Panel > Users and
Passwords, that says users must enter a username and
password to use the computer. If you remove the check
from the box, the system will prompt you for a default
username and password, that will be applied each time you
start the computer. VERY INSECURE.
 
Nope...I have a wireless network with mapped drives, the
mapped drives are trying to load before the wireless
connection is made, therefore giving me error messages,
once the wireless connects I can get into all of my
mapped drives, the error messages are just annoying and
my client thinks that there is something wrong. In
windows 98 there was an option to "quick log on"..meaning
do not reconnect network drives until they are needed. I
need to know where that is in 2000.
