I am using a Compaq Armada 1750 laptop computer running
Windows XP Home Edition. My problem is that Windows boots
up and when I get to the log on screen (there are two user
accounts) and sign in I get a blank error window popping
up. The error window has nothing written in the menu bar
and nothing on the body of it except an "X" in a red
circle and the buttons "Yes" and "No." So that gives me no
clue what the error is. When I click either the "yes"
or "no" button (or click the "x" to close the window) I
get "Windows is saving your settings" and am right back at
the log on screen. It does not matter which of the two
users I choose to log on as, one of which is my
administrator account, I still get the wordless error
window and can not log on at all.
Any ideas?
