I have use XP-Home for 18 months without ONE HITCH - love
it - This am, AFTER screen saver started, I came back in
and moved mouse - WELL, all icons and desktop were bare
and it moved to the Log-On Screen - I immediately clicked
my one and only profile, and all was well - what is
happening?? - I have NOT changed any setting nor have I
installed any software - I could not find any issue in
the Knowledge Base - You help would be appreciated.

Check your user accounts and see if when you updated you
also got the .net account log on. That would make it a
multi user log on and thus from the screen saver to the
log on screen. good luck.

Hi Tom,

Right click the Desktop/Properties/Screen Saver tab, look at the options
for your Screen saver and also Uncheck the "On resume, password protect"
option.

Also in the Monitor Power settings using the Power button. Look on the
Advanced tab, and the Options section, uncheck the "Prompt for password when
computer resumes from standby" option.
