Currently, I am using Windows Live Mail 12.0 (desktop) running Windows XP SP3.

How can I definitely log off/log out in WLM 12.0 (as with the e-mail account
of Hotmail.com/live.com, etc.)?

Pressing the "X" in the upper right corner is not enough as I can easily
(without a password!) log in/log on after the before mentioned action.

I am looking forward to any advice on this matter.

Thanking you in advance.

Kind regards.

Thank you for the answer. Log off the Windows user account is what I normally
do (everyday).

However, the desktop has a family and a business account. These accounts are
available to various users, in order to have access to the different files on
the desktop.

Definitely log off/log out in WLM will be the answer to an unauthorised
access to the Windows Live Mail-account.

Email programs typically do not control access with a password.
That includes WLM. You may want to set up a separate Windows user
for your email, if it needs to be kept private.

Yes, it needs to be kept private. I am not happy with it, but a separate
account seems to be the only solution. Thank you for the answer!

However, I do not agree with the logic behind it! Sharing files and working
with an e-mail account in the same time by a specific user is a common
practise. Microsoft sees that apparently different.

Kind regards.
