Hello
Doing a few chores on the server, microsoft 2000. Checking the router
log, setting up a Backup Exec job, looking over event viewer -the
usual admin chores. Later in the day I went back to the server to log
off. By habit I do the alt control delete function. And it didn't
work. The backup and terminal servers, fine, the log off process on
those machines. The server the keyboard performs perfectly -except
today the alt ctrl del.
I left myself logged in and left the computer. I could have rebooted
and that may have corrected this first ever 'incident'. However, I got
to thinking -what if I rebooted -and I couldn't log in? Well if I
rebooted the server would have been running, but, it would be best to
have the luxury to log in. However, I do have installed on another
computer rdp. And remotely I went to check things out. Meaning -if I
couldn't get into the the server via the log in at the server machine -
at least remotely I can access it.
I needed to post hoping this keyboard function can be corrected in a
simple way.
And I did a run through - no viruses, no hack evidence, nothing
unusual. Let me know your thoughts.
Thanks
