I was wondering if there is a way to log network share
activity. Example: I'd like to monitor what files users on
my workgroup are grabbing from my network share. I have
two computers, one with 2k and one with xp, both of which
I'd like to monitor share activity. If there is a way to
do this I'd really like to know.

thanks all

To view current open files on your shares, and current sessions, open up
computer managment (right click my compter and go to manage, or also found
in the administrative tools under control panel). Expand the tree "shared
folders". Under that section you have shares, sessions and open files. That
will basically tell you who is viewing what at that particular time. You
could also use auditing for actually "logging" login attempts with the group
policy editor.
