Apparently I made a hugh mistake. My son has set his
computer up and networked mine with his thru a hub. All is
well for interest access. However, he could not get access
to my printer. He told me I had to change my workgroup to
his so he could have access....(we were already set up to
share) So today while he was away I changed my workgroup to
his - it accepted it welcomed me and the then
rebooted.....now it is asking me for a password to get into
my computer. I have never set up a password infact has
never had to enter or even hit enter - window just always
came up.......am i totally screwed? What can I do to get
into my computer

Thanks to anyone who can help me.

PS I tried entering his passwork because his is protected -
would not accept

"interest access", or "internet access"?

What operating system are you running - windows 2000 or windows XP (home or
professional)?

When it asks for a password does it also ask for a username?

Is it asking a password at startup, or just before the windows desktop would
normally show up?

What other information is on the display (word for word) that asks for the
password?

What exactly does it say when it rejects your attempt to enter a correct
password?

Did you originally set your computer up to go directly to the desktop, or
did you also create "accounts".
