Anyone know why the logfile is so massive (~100Megs)?

Don't know but your post send me have a look to mine... -> 2Go (errors.log)

Could be good if we could fix a max log size in a future version.

Indeed.

I had a machine whose log did that, so I uninstalled Microsoft Antispyware.
I later reinstalled it, and it went for weeks with no issue, so I stopped
worrying about it. However, last weekend the symptom came back (this was a
production server.) Fortunately, both occurrences happened on weekends, and
it was easy to diagnose the problem remotely and correct it.

I've uninstalled the product from that server--not worth the risk, and not
providing much value on a server not used for surfing anyway.

Same problem returned today on my machine. Seems strange that they happened
to a number of us at about the same time. My error log was >4Gig. Have
removed the program and will await the next upgrade to re-install.

Sorry to hear it. I'm sure this one will get fixed, but I can't predict
when. My sense is that they are working hard to be able to present a build
of the quality we'd all like to see before making another release.
