When I purchased my laptop it came with Windows 2000
Professional...when I turn it on each day it brings me to
a "Log on to windows" prompt, is there anyway I can get
rid of this screen as I am the only one who uses this
laptop?

In order for the machine to log in automatically you need to ensure that all
user accounts are deleted apart from Guest, Administator and the default
user account when you setup Win2k. In addition, make sure that the default
user account has no password and the guest accuont is switched off.

Providing this is done successfully - you can get your machine to log in
automatically.

Hope this helps
Paul.

Control Panel|Users and Passwords|Advanced, then uncheck the box for
"Require users........"

Actually thinking about it I got confused - this process is for Windows XP.

Sorry about that chaps
