Is this safe? It was accidentally sent to me by an im from my son who has a
Trojan virus. I continually am asked to run or cancel upon logging in. How
can I completely get rid of this message if I find that it is not "safe."

When I run a virus scan I get no hits but I still am very leary. What to do?

Thanks,

Toni

Please submit a sample of lockx.exe to Virus Total --
http://www.virustotal.com/flash/index_en.html
The submission will then be tested against many different AV vendor's scanners.
That will give you an idea what it is and who recognizes it. In addition, unless told
otherwise, Virus Total will provide the sample to all participating vendors.

When you get the report, please post back the exact results.

It's virus that I've seen before, here is a link to a description of it:

there is a fix, called AIMFix that you can run to fix it, but I'm not
sure where you can get AIMFix.

This thread describes your problem and where to get aimfix:
