Locks up and says to install first disk of compaq

I've installed Windows XP and it worked great for a while
but now it has locked up and send a message to put in the
first disk of the Compaq install when I am trying to reload
it. Can you tell me where to get this disk?

Is your computer a Compaq model? Did you use an Upgrade version of
Windows XP when you installed it? Can you repost your query with a bit more
information so that a response can be closer to diagnosis than it is to

Let's see now...you have a Compaq computer and you need a Compaq
restore/recovery disc...May I suggest you contact Dell?
